Academy / Loudly Ladder / Level 1

Loudly: AI Music Foundations

Level 1 takes you from an empty account to a licensed, documented cue placed in real content. Twelve sessions cover what Loudly actually is and why almost every review measures it against the wrong benchmark, a disciplined interface tour that ignores six tools on purpose, the three-lever method that produces a usable cue in minutes, escaping generic output with sub-genre and genre blend, the three controls that decide whether a cue is usable at all, building an arc instead of a loop, when prose beats parameters, an honest assessment of the vocal engine, four quality criteria applied before you spend a metered download, the naming and licence habits that take four seconds and save a working day, the MWHQ pipeline, and a first live release. By Session 12 you can be handed a brief and prove you were entitled to deliver against it.

Previewing Is Free. Downloading Is Not.

Session 2 finds the two meters that actually govern your month, on day one rather than in week three. New users routinely burn a third of their download allowance auditioning finalists they could have previewed at no cost. Every professional habit in this level flows from that single asymmetry.

The Three-Lever Method

Nine controls presented at once produces paralysis and random results. Session 3 sets three — genre, energy, duration — and leaves the rest at default, which produces a usable cue immediately and, more importantly, isolates variables so students actually learn what each control does.

Subtraction, Not Ducking

Session 6 teaches the single most valuable technique in the level: when a bed masks a voiceover, identify the competing instrument family and regenerate without it, rather than compressing the whole music bus. The result is a bed with a hole exactly where the voice lives, at full level, with no pumping artefact at all.

What You'll Cover

Every control. Every metered resource. Every session with a deliverable.

The 12 sessions run in deliberate sequence: what Loudly is and what it deliberately is not; a restrained interface tour naming the two screens that matter; the three-lever method; sub-genre and genre blend as the escape from generic output; energy, tempo and key as the usability controls; structure and subtractive instrumentation; text-to-music and when prose is the right tool; MANTA-1 and an honest assessment of the vocal engine; four quality criteria before spending a download; naming convention and licence discipline; the MWHQ pipeline; and a first live release.

Every session ends with an objective completion standard you can test without an instructor present. Students leave with a placed and licensed cue, a live release, a written parameter record, a standard test voiceover, and a folder discipline that still works at cue four hundred.

Where This Level Fits

Level 1 teaches you to deliver a cue. Level 2 opens the DAW.

Level 1 establishes deliberate parameter control, audition discipline, export capability and documentation habit. You leave able to take a brief with a duration and a job to do and deliver against it — which is the prerequisite for Level 2's stem work, custom sample generation, scoring to picture and cue library construction.

This level is right for content producers, video and podcast editors, agency and in-house creative staff, and musicians who want a controllable scoring tool. It is not right for anyone whose primary output is vocal-led records — Loudly's vocal engine is metered at roughly three percent of your monthly allowance, and this curriculum says so in Session 1 rather than Session 8.

Next Step

On a platform this fast, administration is the craft.

Generation on Loudly takes seconds and costs almost nothing against a nine hundred creation allowance. The work is the brief, the parameter translation, the audition discipline, and the paperwork. Producers with ordinary ears build excellent reputations here because their files are named properly and their licences are filed; better musicians lose client relationships because they cannot produce a certificate on request. Every session ends with a deliverable, and the final session ends with a live release you can account for.
