Academy / Roland TR-8S Ladder / Level 3

Roland TR-8S: Professional AI Music Production

Level 3 is where TR-8S production becomes a business. Twelve sessions covering sync licensing standards, beat catalog ROI analysis, mastering for streaming and Shorts, AI melodic layer production, signature sound development, client work economics, PRO registration, catalog scale systems, and the complete MWHQ pipeline. The capstone produces a market-ready track from TR-8S to live YouTube Short in one session. Prerequisite: TR-8S Level 2.

Sync Licensing & Catalog ROI

Meet every technical and creative standard required for sync library submission, and calculate the exact catalog size you need to hit a specific monthly revenue target.

Mastering & AI Pipeline

Master TR-8S productions to -14 LUFS streaming spec and -12 LUFS sync standard, and integrate AI-generated melodic layers using advanced prompt engineering and grid-alignment techniques.

Client Work & Catalog Scale

Build a professional rate structure with proper scope documentation, set up PRO registration and publishing entity for full royalty collection, and design a production schedule that reaches 100+ tracks systematically.

What You'll Cover

From production proficiency to commercial output, systematically.

The 12 sessions cover sync licensing technical requirements and music supervisor briefs, beat catalog ROI calculation and 90-day production planning, mastering for streaming (-14 LUFS) and sync (-12 LUFS) and mono compatibility for Shorts, advanced AI melodic layer prompt engineering and grid alignment, signature sound development and catalog identity, client work rate structure and contract basics, advanced live performance system design with Chain Mode setlists, brand identity and content strategy, PRO registration and ISRC administration, systematic catalog scale to 100+ tracks, and a deep operational walkthrough of the complete MWHQ pipeline.

The capstone (Session 12) runs the complete pipeline in 4 hours: TR-8S production, AI melodic layer, mix and master to spec, Atlas-automated Digen video, YouTube Shorts publish, Buffer social queue, PRO registration, and beat store listing. Everything in Levels 1 and 2 is present in the capstone deliverable.

Where This Level Fits

Level 3 is the end of the curriculum and the beginning of the business.

After completing Level 3, there is no more curriculum — only practice at production scale. The 90-day production plan from Session 10 becomes the operational document. The capstone track is the first entry in a catalog built on the systems from this level. The rate structure from Session 6 becomes the client-facing document.

Level 3 is right for producers who have completed Level 2 or who already have strong TR-8S workflow proficiency and want the business architecture — licensing, royalties, client work, and catalog scale — that converts that proficiency into recurring revenue.
