The Four Core Windows
Channel Rack, Playlist, Piano Roll, and Mixer — the architecture that governs everything in FL Studio. This curriculum teaches how they connect, in the sequence that makes the connection permanent rather than temporary.
The foundation that everything else is built on. 12 sessions that take you from first launch to a complete, release-ready track inside the MWHQ pipeline — with FL Studio 2025's new interface, Dynamic Mixer Tracks, Gopher AI, and Loop Starter integrated from session one. Written and taught by Sir Leslie Jennings.
Channel Rack, Playlist, Piano Roll, and Mixer — the architecture that governs everything in FL Studio. This curriculum teaches how they connect, in the sequence that makes the connection permanent rather than temporary.
Every session is structured around the MWHQ production pipeline. Students do not learn FL Studio in isolation — they learn it as the production hub of an integrated AI music workflow from the very first session.
Session 12 is not a recap — it is a complete production. Students finish the curriculum with a finished, export-ready track built in FL Studio 2025 using the skills from all preceding sessions.
Session 1: Orientation — FL Studio 2025 setup, audio device configuration, project settings, and the MWHQ workflow overview.
Session 2: Interface — the four core windows and their relationships: Channel Rack, Playlist, Piano Roll, Mixer.
Session 3: Step Sequencer — the Core Formula: kick, snare, hi-hat, bass. The pattern that underlies every genre.
Session 4: Piano Roll — note editing, chord input, quantization, velocity, and MIDI expression.
Session 5: Playlist and Arrangement — building a full song structure from the patterns you have created.
Session 6: Mixing Basics — Mixer routing, Insert effects, EQ fundamentals, and the level-balance approach to a clean mix.
Session 7: Edison Recording — audio recording, loop capture, and audio editing inside FL Studio.
Session 8: Browser and Organization — the Library, Loop Starter, sample management, and the organization system that speeds up every session.
Session 9: Saving and Version Control — project save conventions, backup strategy, and the file structure that protects your work.
Session 10: Exporting — WAV, MP3, stem export, and the format decisions that matter for different delivery contexts.
Session 11: The MWHQ Pipeline — integrating AI-generated audio from Suno/Udio into FL Studio as your production hub.
Session 12: First Complete Track — applying all 11 sessions to one production from scratch. Your curriculum deliverable.

After completing Level 1, the next step is Level 2 — Dynamic Mixer Tracks with full bus architecture, Automation Clips, Sytrus FM synthesis, Patcher modular routing, advanced Piano Roll scripting, sidechaining, Fruity Slicer 2, and the complete MWHQ production pipeline at the creative control tier.
Every session in this curriculum follows the same architecture: a ROI hook that explains why the session matters for your career, a content section that teaches the skill, a session challenge that produces a deliverable, Sir Leslie's Notes that give the practitioner's perspective, and homework that extends the learning before the next session. The structure is not administrative — it is pedagogical. It is why this curriculum produces producers who actually use what they learn.
The producers who get stuck are the ones who learned FL Studio out of sequence — grabbing techniques from YouTube videos without understanding how the pieces connect. This curriculum is the sequence. Twelve sessions that build on each other, ending with a complete production you made yourself. That is the foundation.
